Wow!! What a beautiful drive we had today! We drove through all of Ohio, a sliver of W. virginia, and about half of Pennsylvania. We live in a BEAUTIFUL country!
I feel eager and optimistic most of the time; however, at times, feelings of fear and doubt try to creep in. They whisper, "What are you thinking? Do you think you made the right decision? You won't know anyone! What will do without seeing your extended family every day!"
I am doing quite well at dismissing these feelings. I realize that this move is huge, and it is completely normal to have varying emotions throughout the day.
We had McDonalds for breakfast, Cracker Barrel for lunch, and TGIFridays for dinner...oh my! We are still eating fairly healthy, though...
The hotel tonight is MUCH better than last night! We found nothing gross on the toilet seat or the shower floor, so we're good. My husband used Priceline and we got it for $65...SCORE!
We were checking in, and my son asked the young girl behind the counter if we could have a room on the first floor so that we didn't have to use the elevator. They didn't, so we are on the second floor; we just take the stairs!
We have about 4 hours in the car tomorrow and we will arrive in our new location! The kids have never seen the house that my husband and I chose, so we are really excited and looking forward to them seeing it!
Day 2 has been full of beauty. I have really enjoyed being on the road, stopping at different places, and enjoying the vastness and wonder of God's creation.
We are so tired. My son is still full of energy, of course. We will be going to bed soon. We are not setting an alarm tomorrow and hopefully the "fab4" will get lots of beauty rest tonight! Haha!
Goodnight...don't let the bedbugs bite! (oh, i pray this hotel has no bed bugs!)
Thanks for sharing this with us...LOVE following you on your journey! :) Love you!!
